Devlog Mystic Heist - V.07


Welcome to the latest development notes! We've added new features that will increase the challenge and change the way you play. Let's take a look at the changes that await you.

New Mechanics:

  1. Stage Variants: In each repetition of a scene, players will find that the stage setup is no longer static. Now, every time the scene is repeated, the stage layout will change, thus providing a different variation every time the player replays it. This allows players to face new and unexpected challenges with each playthrough, adding to the excitement and increasing replayability.

  1. Enemies:
    • Idle: Enemies in the game now have more dynamic idle behavior. Every few seconds, enemies will randomly face toward the path or turn away, creating moments of uncertainty for the player. This means players will have to be more vigilant and strategic in avoiding enemies, as they will no longer be able to predict the direction of the enemy's gaze as easily, adding an element of surprise and higher difficulty.

  1. Fog System: The new fog system now limits the player's visibility, creating a more tense and suspenseful atmosphere. This visibility is also connected to the “time candle” system, where the player's visibility level will change with the passage of time or certain conditions in the game. As such, players will need to be more careful in their movements and plan their every move, as the surroundings become increasingly difficult to navigate, adding a new dimension to the challenging gaming experience.
